A 31-year-old woman from Assam surrendered before the police after allegedly stabbing her husband to death in Oragadam near Sriperumbudur on Thursday night.
The woman has been identified as Faridha Begum, 31. According to the police, she stabbed her husband Imran, 32, in the stomach with a knive during a quarrel at their rented house. Neighbours rushed Imran to Chengalpattu Government Hospital, but he died on Friday afternoon.
Shortly after the incident, Faridha walked into the Oragadam police station and confessed to the crime, the police said. She was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Friday.
