WPL Auction 2026: Georgia Wareham goes to Gujarat Giants for Rs. 1 crore
Australia leg-spinner Georgia Wareham was signed by Gujarat Giants for Rs. 1 crore at the WPL Auction 2026 in New Delhi on Thursday. Wareham had previously represented the Giants in the inaugural edition of the league, where she featured in just two matches and picked up one wicket.
Over the last two seasons, Wareham was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and played a key role in its title-winning campaign in 2024, finishing with seven wickets and 111 runs. She followed it up with a strong showing last season, claiming 12 wickets in eight innings.
Wareham was also part of Australia’s 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup squad, taking three wickets across two innings.
